Authorities are searching for three suspects who robbed two different victims in the parking lot of the Fashion Island mall in Newport Beach Monday night.All three suspects were wearing ski masks when they robbed the first victim, who was driving a Rolls-Royce SUV, around 11:30 p.m., according to the Newport Police Department. A man out on probation for drug charges less than a year ago and a woman from Douglas were recently arrested following a search at a local apartment. On August 7, 2024, at around 1:00 PM, Detectives from the Coffee County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit were conducting a proactive narcotics patrol in Douglas. During their patrol, a detective spotted 30-year-old Christopher Lamar Hawkins, who had outstanding warrants for fleeing police and methamphetamine possession, driving a white 2021 Kia Sorento. Hawkins was stopped in front of apartment 203/204 on N Wheeler Ave, where two detectives approached him. Breanna Henderson, 33, then came out of apartment 203 to "investigate what was going on with Hawkins" and appeared to whisper with Hawkins during his arrest. The report states that Henderson, who temporarily lived with Hawkins, began whispering with him "presumably about nefarious activities due to Hawkins's previous history with drug distribution and evading law enforcement."

According to the Miami Herald, pursuit speeds were in excess of 130mph, including stretches over 100mph in school zones. It took multiple state police units from Rhode Island to Florida, a 1,200-mile chase, and even a helicopter unit for the law to finally catch up with thieves driving a stolen $300,000 Ferrari.

The FBI arrested Matthew Farwell today who was a former Stoughton Police Detective for having a sexual relationship with Sandra Birchmore from 15 years old to 23 years old. Not only that but when Sandra was pregnant with Farwell’s baby in late 2020 or early 2021 one of her friends called the Stoughton Police and notified that one of their officers was having a sexual relationship with her friend. According to the affidavit, Farwell got mad and upset that one of Sandra’s friends called the Stoughton Police and he then started acting weird according to the affidavit. He went to Sandra’s apartment weeks leading up to her murder looking around her apartment which she thought was strange according to the affidavit. Farwell asked for a key to her apartment.
