Labor Day work hours announced for Columbus Consolidated Government

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Labor Day is right around the corner and Columbus Consolidated Government has announced the hours of operation for each of its divisions.

According to CCG, trash will be collected Sept. 4 instead of Sept. 2. The City also says beginning Sept. 9 all household waste must be in a city-issued black or brown bin.

The following city services will be closed Sept. 2:

• 311 Citizen Services
• The Granite Bluff and Pine Grove landfills
• All Parks and Recreation Facilities except the Cooper Creek Tennis Center and Lake Oliver Marina
• Animal Care and Control
• All METRA bus services
• The Property Tax and Motor Vehicle Registration office

CCG says to call 911 for any emergency services.
