MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The 36th annual Guaranty Bank Cooper-Young Festival has announced its 2024 Music Lineup.

With several genres of music to listen to, Carla Thomas, queen of Memphis soul, will be the headliner with The Stax Academy Alumni Band.

Guaranty Bank says Carla Thomas is best known for her 1960s recordings “Gee Whiz” and “B-A-B-Y.”

She grew up on Beale Street and did a duet with Otis Redding in 1967 called “TRAMP.”

Along with Thomas, many artists will be performing folk, R&B, country, rock, and other genres.

The festival will be held on September 14, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
