MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is facing multiple burglary charges after police say he broke into and stole items from multiple storage units in Oxford earlier this month.

On August 9, the Oxford Police Department received reports of break-ins at a storage business in the 600 block of McLarty Road. Several people reported that the locks on their units were broken and personal items had been taken.

Two people were seen on security camera footage using a lock cutter to break into the storage units. OPD identified one of the suspects as Teddy Dean Austin Jr., 43, of Courtland, Miss.

Austin was arrested later that same day and charged with eight counts of Commercial Burglary. His bond has not been set.

Reports say police also identified the other individual involved in the burglary, but they have not released his name. He has multiple warrants out for his arrest.
