Olive Branch, MS ranks among fastest-growing suburbs

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis suburb of Olive Branch, Mississippi is one of the country’s fastest-growing suburbs with average home values under $500,000.

That’s according to a new study by GoBankingRates.com , which compiled a list of the top 50 suburbs that are experiencing fast growth, but still have relatively affordable housing.

The study ranks Olive Branch No. 6 on its list.

Olive Branch had a population of 45,938 in 2022, which was an increase of 20% from just two years earlier.

It’s July 2024 average home value was $329,937, one of the lowest amounts of any of the 50 suburbs.

Olive Branch was the only suburb on the list in Mississippi, and the only one in metro Memphis. Two Tennessee suburbs made the list, Lebanon and Gallatin in the Nashville area.
