Mistico To Face Atlantis Jr. In Opera Cup Match At MLW Summer Of The Beasts

A new match has been announced for MLW Summer of the Beasts . MLW announced that Mistico will face Atlantis Jr. in Opera Cup action.

Mistico will face Atlantis Jr. at MLW Summer of the Beasts on August 29. The winner will advance to the semifinals of the Opera Cup. Mistico previously beat Magnus to advance to the next round. As for Atlantis Jr., he defeated Okumura at MLW Blood & Thunder.

An electrifying quarterfinal match is set for the historic 2024 Opera Cup, as lucha libre icon Místico faces off against the emerging Atlantis Jr. in New York City. This high-stakes showdown, which could draw a crowd of 18,000 in Mexico’s Arena Mexico, will now take center stage in the heart of New York.

The Opera Cup, dating back to the 1880s, stands as the longest-running tournament in professional wrestling. Originally hosted in opera houses across the United States, the tournament has a rich history of international competition, with past winners hailing from Poland, Great Britain, Germany, France, and Canada.

As two of CMLL’s best step into the ring at Summer of the Beasts, the question looms: could Místico or Atlantis Jr. be the first Mexican to etch their name in the annals of the Opera Cup’s storied history?”
