    32-year-old victim identified in deadly crash in Albemarle County

    ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Albemarle County Police Department has identified the victim in the deadly crash that occurred on Thursday, Aug. 8 .

    Police identified the victim of the deadly crash on Rio Road and Hillsdale Drive as 32 year-old Kenneth E. Choloski II of Earlysville.

    When officers arrived on the scene they found a two-door coupe had collided into two other cars near Rio Road East and Hillsdale Drive.

    According to police, Choloski was a passenger in the coupe, he was not wearing a seatbelt and later died at the scene of the crash.

    The driver of the coupe also was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was taken to UVA Medical Center for medical treatment of serious injuries.

    Police said the two individuals from of the first car that was hit were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. There were no reported injuries to the driver and passenger of the second car that was hit.

    This crash still remains under investigation by the Albemarle County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
