HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Following storms that hit Central Virginia over the weekend, over 2,000 homes and businesses in Henrico County are without power Monday morning, according to Dominion Energy.

As of 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, 2,062 homes and businesses are without power in Henrico County.

Estimated times of restoration vary due to various projects throughout the area, according to Dominion Energy.

According to Henrico County Public Schools, Maybeury Elementary School will be closed on Monday as a result of power outages in the area from severe storms that hit over the weekend.

The first day of school for students — which was originally Monday — has now been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20.
