Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources launches annual Kids ‘n Fishing Photo Contest

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Department of Wildlife Resources has launched this year’s Kids ‘n Fishing Photo Contest , where folks can enter their picture to win a prize.

According to the department, the winning pictures are those that best capture the theme of “kids enjoying fishing.”

Children who win the first through third-place photographs in each category will get a variety of fishing-related prizes, the department said.

Winning pictures will also be posted on the department’s website, featured in the January/February issue of the Virginia Wildlife magazine and may be used in other department publications.

Fishing prizes for each place include a rod and reel fishing combo and a lure and tackle assortment courtesy of Green Top Sporting Goods.

Online photos must be submitted on or before Oct. 4, and photos submitted by mail must be postmarked on or before Oct. 4.
