    New GED program launches at Hopewell Library

    HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Appomattox Regional Library System has announced the launch of a new College and Career Readiness (GED) program at its Hopewell Library branch.

    The Hopewell Library will soon host College and Career Readiness Classes, hosted by Southside Programs for Adult Continuing Education, preparing adult learners to prepare for their high school equivalency (GED) certification.

    According to the Appomattox Regional Library System, these classes are designed to enhance reading, language, math and employment skills for adult learners.

    Course details:

    • Date : Sept. 10 through Dec. 12
    • Time : 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
    • Days : Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • No class will be held on Nov. 5, Nov. 26 and Nov. 28
