Hanover Sheriff searching for driver who struck jogger in hit-and-run

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a hit-and-run suspect who allegedly struck a jogger on Walnut Grove Road over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, the crash took place at around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25 in the 8000 block of Walnut Grove Road in the Mechanicsville area of Hanover.

After hitting the victim with their truck, the driver reportedly confronted and threatened them before driving away.

The suspect’s truck is white and could possibly be a mid-2000s Chevrolet. The license plate number is not known.
