    Severe thunderstorm warnings issued in Central Virginia localities

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued late Thursday night in multiple Central Virginia localities.

    At 11:32 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for the following localities:

    • City of Richmond
    • Chesterfield County
    • Henrico County
    • Hanover County

    These warnings will remain in effect until 12:15 p.m. Friday, according to the NWS.

    A severe thunderstorm warning means one or more severe thunderstorms have been located in or near the affected areas.
