Arrests, sentencings, fire calls for July 25

Wright County Sheriff arrests:

• Stacy Ann Lynch, 50, of Big Lake was arrested in Monticello July 15 on a charge of third-degree DWI test refusal.

• Katie Rose Kissner, 46, of St. Cloud was arrested in Monticello July 16 on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance.

• Fatima Guadalupe Choto Prieto, 24, of St, Paul was arrested in Monticello July 17 on a charge of giving an officer a false name.

• Devin Ray Strempke, 30, of Big Lake was arrested in Hennepin County July 18 on a Wright County warrant for fifth-degree controlled substance.

• Chad Melvin Fobbe, 50, of Monticello was arrested in Buffalo July 19 on a Wright County domestic assault warrant.

• James Edward Vanscoik, 62, of St. Paul was arrested in Monticello July 20 on a charge of driving after cancelation.

• Charles Roger Huyink, 70, of Monticello was arrested in Monticello July 21 on a charge of domestic assault.

Wright County Sheriff by the numbers:

From July 15-22, there were 24 property-damage accidents, 13 personal-injury accidents, three hit-and-run accidents, two car-vs-deer accidents, 2 DWI arrests and 120 miscellaneous traffic violations reported.

Wright County Attorney’s Office court sentences:

• Michael Jay Hanson, 51, of Big Lake was sentenced on July 17 to three days jail and remain/reinstate on probation on all prior terms and conditions for probation violation for domestic abuse no contact order – violate no contact order – misdemeanor.

• Grass fire on 85th Street NE and Ebersole Avenue at 2:11 p.m. July 8

• Residential fire alarm on 142nd Street NW at 11:58 a.m. July 9

• Commercial fire alarm on Chelsea Road West at 12:37 p.m. July 9

• Motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near mile marker 190 at 3:49 p.m. July 9

• Commercial fire alarm on Deegan Court at 4:10 p.m. July 9

• Motor vehicle accident on Broadway Avenue West and Walnut Street at 3:45 p.m. July 10

DNR Conservation Officer’s Report:

• CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) spent about half the week helping with the CO Academy. The other half was spent following up on various calls related to captive mallards, trapped barn swallows and overfishing. Seamans also patrolled public accesses for sport fishing and invasive species enforcement.

• CO Brett Fox (St. Cloud) spent time patrolling for ATV, watercraft and angling activity. Fox also attended training at Camp Ripley to become a background investigator. Violations this week included fishing without a license, no license in possession and ATV registration issues.
