Chase on Sunday leads to arrest by Missouri State Highway Partrol

A Bootheel man led officers from several agencies on a chase in Wright County on Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Officers from several agencies were on the lookout for a silver Dodge Charger as it whipped around several directions in Wright County, including U.S. 60. An effort was made to set up in Texas County in case the vehicle moved into the area.

Jason J. Jones, 37, of Cape Girardeau, is charged with multiple crimes: Felony resisting arrest by flight, felony attempting assault on a law enforcement officer – first-degree; felony armed criminal action using a vehicle as an instrument, careless and imprudent driving and driving on U.S. 60 in a wrong direction.

He was taken to the Wright County Jail and held.
