Inbox: The last live Packers play my dad ever saw was the Randall Cobb fourth-and-8 catch
How has a Packers game impacted a noteworthy event in your life? (Dar from Mansfield, TX) My dad went blind in 2016. A short time earlier, my wife and I had tickets to a Packers-Bears tilt. I had gotten tickets for Christmas because she told me that she had never seen the team live in-person. The morning of the game, we catch a horrible stomach bug. We call my dad and see if he wants the tickets. He takes them despite the fact that it's short notice. This was December 2013. The last live Packers play my dad ever saw was the Randall Cobb fourth-and-8 catch. (Editor's note: That may be the greatest Outsider Inbox answer ever, Brian. Thank you for sharing that.)
Packers Named Potential Suitor for Former $54 Million Free Agent
The Green Bay Packers may not be done bringing in players before training camp, and a cheap veteran like linebacker Kwon Alexander could make a lot of sense. Kristopher Knox with Bleacher Report gave out some bargain-bin free agent options. On top of that, they provided some potential suitors for each available veteran.
2024 Second-Year Scouting Report: Dontayvion Wicks
The new rookie class around the NFL gets all the attention over the summer. They’re the flashy new pieces for fantasy football, and of course they can be anything. But last year’s rookies aren’t fully formed yet. The players entering their second season aren’t the fancy new thing anymore. That can open up some value in fantasy drafts for players still due to break out, and it can lead to fantasy mistakes for players who had a good first season that turns out to be a mirage. Everyone knows Year 1 to Year 2 is one of the biggest jumps an NFL player can make, but this still happens.
'You don't encounter people like Dave Reichenberger often': Appleton East teacher remembered
APPLETON — There are a few things that stand out about David Reichenberger’s classroom at Appleton East — knick knacks and trinkets students left throughout the years, small murals painted by students, and, perhaps most notably, a plethora of sketches of the beloved math teacher. Some are...
Rockers start second half in loss column
The Green Bay Rockers could not get the bats going to open the second half of their season with an 8-1 loss to the Wausau Woodchucks. The Rockers were down 4-0 when Cooper Kelly registered the lone RBI with a single to center to bring in Sam Miller. It was one of his two hits and seven total for the Rockers in the loss.

Matt LaFleur is a Top Five NFL Head Coach
One thing I can’t wait for in the 2024 NFL Season will actually occur 16 days before Opening Night Kickoff. On August 20th, four-time New York Times bestselling author Ian O’Connor will release his new book titled “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers.” O’Connor’s website says his new book “reveals all sides of an all-time great and delivers a portrait of a complex man and four-time NFL MVP that will forever shape the way football fans view him.” When I read that, I cannot wait to read this book.
