Tybee Island Rescue says water is closed to public Sunday

Tybee Island, Ga. (WSAV) – On Sunday, Tybee Island Rescue said due to ongoing hazardous rip currents, lifeguards will continue to fly double red flags, indicating that the water is closed to the public.

Tybee Island Rescue is asking everyone to stay out of the water for safety and heed all warnings.

The rescue team says lifeguards will be patrolling the beach in vehicles today, anyone with questions can flag them down.
