    Police identify Clemson burglary suspect

    CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) – Police have identified a woman they said broke into homes in a Clemson neighborhood.

    Clemson Police said they received a 911 call from a homeowner in the Crestwood neighborhood around 9:20 a.m. on August 2 who captured surveillance video of a woman attempting to get into their home.

    The surveillance video showed a woman holding a small dog attempting to open a rear door at the home before walking away.

    Officers said a search of the area revealed that the woman had broken in to more than one home.

    According to Clemson Police, tips from the community helped lead them to 36-year-old Ginger Gail Dreo as the suspect in the burglaries.

    Police said they are still searching for Dreo who is 5’4″ tall and weighs 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

    Investigators said Dreo is known to drive a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer.

    Officers released photos of the vehicle and said that the license plate may have been replaced.

    Anyone with information on Dreo’s location is asked to call their local law enforcement.
