HART COUNTY, Ga (WSPA) – A Georgia woman is facing more than two dozen charges related to animal cruelty in Hart County.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office said they have been investigating Southeast Welfare Animal Service on Knox Bridge Crossing Road.

Investigators said the location was licensed through the Georgia Department of Agriculture but that license was recently revoked.

Deputies said 67-year-old Debra Delores Singletary was arrested and charged with 26 counts of cruelty to animals.

The sheriff’s office said they along with animal control removed a large number dogs with the help of a local veterinarian’s office and others.

Hart County Sheriff’s Office said their investigation into the kennel is still ongoing.
