Clemson, USC, Wofford focus on openers

Clemson’s Cade Klubnik hopes for a better start than last season, when the Tigers dropped four of their first eight games, two of them in overtime, as a result of some rough moments by their then first-year starting quarterback.

Klubnik spoke Wednesday about the energy he’s feeling toward this season while South Carolina’s Shane Beamer makes a point about a group of young offensive lineman who could see significant playing time on his roster.

Wofford is among the schools that opens its season tonight as the Terriers, who won their final two games of ’23 to finish 2-9, begin play at Gardner-Webb.
