HART COUNTY, Ga. (WSPA) – Three juveniles are facing charges relating to social media posts, threatening schools in Hart County.

On Thursday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Department alerted officials with the Hart County Charter System that a juvenile had made a threatening post on social media, according to Hart County School District..

The juvenile was taken into custody and was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.

In a separate incident on Friday, staff with the Hart County Charter System were alerted about two juveniles posting threatening remarks and inappropriate pictures. An investigation was launched by the Hartwell Police Department.

The two students were taken into custody, including one at the Hart County Middle School according to the Hart County School District.

Hart County High School’s football game against Flowery Branch, which was originally scheduled for Friday evening, was canceled.

The school district said they take all threats seriously and parents are advised to monitor their child’s social media activity for any inappropriate behavior.

The district said although there were no threats to the game, law enforcement advised the district to cancel the game.
