Clearfield County cafe to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Spanky’s Courthouse Cafe will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in May.

ABR is a national media and marketing company focused on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, and is making a stop at Spanky’s on May 2. Some of the cafe’s popular dishes will be highlighted and fans of Spanky’s can also expect an on-camera interview with owners Heather and Rob Inguagiato.

“We’re proud of our service,” Rob said. “We’re a breakfast diner; we serve the downtown area. We have a huge, huge everyday regular crowd; some people eat here two to three times a day, seven days a week. For some people, it’s their only social event of the day. They’re like family.”

Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include the “largest omelet in the state of Pennsylvania,” the country fried steak, and the homemade bread, made daily and a staple item since the restaurant opened. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
