PennDOT announces closures for Labor Day

PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that all driver license and photo centers will be closed for Labor Day.

All centers will be closed Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2. Customers may still obtain a variety of products including all forms, publications and driver training manuals through PennDOT’s website .

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID, vehicle registration renewals, driver-history services, changes of address, registration restoration and driver exam scheduling.

PennDOT encourages motorists to “Know Before They Go” by checking conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com , downloading the 511 Android or iPhone app, or by calling 5-1-1.

511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
