    Pirates No. 3 Prospect Termarr Johnson joins Curve

    ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pirates No. 3 prospect Termarr Johnson is joining the Altoona Curve.

    The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Tuesday that Johnson was being promoted to Double-A Altoona. He was drafted 4th over in the 2022 draft by the Pirates out of Mays High School in Georgia.

    Johnson will make his debut Tuesday against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, batting second and playing second base. He becomes the third youngest player to suit up for the Curve at 20 years, and 76 days old.

    Before being called up, Johnson was in High-A Greensboro and assisted them to a first-half title in the South Atlantic League, batting .372 with 31 extra-base hits in 110 games this season.
