Children abducted from VB injured in Md crash; one airlifted to hospital: Police

UPDATE 10 a.m.: The three young children who were abducted from their home in Virginia Beach Wednesday night were injured in a crash in Maryland Thursday morning after a police pursuit, police confirmed to News 3.

The Amber Alert for the children has been canceled.

One of the children was airlifted to a hospital in Washington; the other two were taken via ambulance.

Virginia State Police were in pursuit of the vehicle Thursday morning with Dana Plummer, 36 — who had allegedly abducted the three children, Zayir Plummer, 5; Zayin Plummer, 7, and Za'riyah Plummer, 1, inside — when the car crashed.

The three children were taken from their home around 9 p.m. on Wednesday night, when police also say Dana Plummer stabbed their mother and took them.

Police have not confirmed the relationship is between Plummer and the children.

News 3 is working to confirm more information about the status of the Plummer children.
