Connecticut State Police release traffic stats for Memorial Day weekend

Conn. (WTNH) – Connecticut State Police have released their preliminary traffic statistics for the Memorial Day weekend.

State police said they had a total of 4,979 calls for service from midnight on May 24 to 11:59 p.m. on May 27. This includes 427 speeding violations, 25 DUIs and 44 seatbelt violations.

There have also been 312 crashes reported for the weekend, with one of them resulting in a serious injury.
