1 dead in Branford motorcycle crash

BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One person died on Thursday night in a motorcycle crash on East Main Street and Windmill Hill Road in Branford, according to police.

Branford police said that it was a car vs. motorcycle crash around 6:30 p.m.

A 65-year-old motorcycle driver from Northford died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling west on East Main St. when it collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction that attempted to turn in front of them.

The collision is being investigated by the accident reconstruction team.
