Police said a truck was waiting at the railroad crossing gate when the arm went up, they pulled forward, and the arm went back down- which is when the truck was hit by another incoming train.

Police said the driver was able to get out of the vehicle in time, and no injuries were reported- either from the vehicle or the train.

The train- Amtrak 66- was headed to Boston from Roanoke.
