Oxford family sells lemonade to support the local fire department

OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Following a difficult week for first responders, one local family in Oxford organized a lemonade stand for the Oxford Fire Department.

The lemonade stand offers citizens the chance to get a cold drink, spend time with their neighbors and contribute to a good cause.

“We are very excited, we’ve gotten a lot of people to come by, a lot of support, people are really happy to do this with us and with the kids,” said Oxford resident Kelly Maguire.

The lemonade stand was located at 4 Middlefield Rd. and will return Sunday from 1-4pm. All proceeds will go to the Oxford Fire Department.
