BEACON FALLS, Conn. (WTNH) – One firefighter was injured while working on a structure fire at a multifamily home in Beacon Falls Saturday night.

At 7:12 p.m. the Beacon Hose Co. was called to Highland Ave due to high volumes of smoke coming from the windows on the third floor of the home.

Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire in the attic, preventing it from spreading throughout the house or to neighboring homes.

All occupants of the building were evacuated safely but one firefighter was injured. They were evaluated and released by medics at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Beacon Falls Fire Marshal’s Office.
