She has made her house into a home by constructing works of art one crystal at a time.

The minute I open up my front door the world’s washed away. The stress is washed away. I can just relax and be who I want to be and I can bling everything out.

From her baseboards to her banister, Amy Byard brings out the bling. Sparkle here, there, everywhere.

She has sprinkled Swarovski crystals throughout her home creating a comfy cozy kind of atmosphere.

Come on in. You’re welcome in my house. Take your shoes off and put some slippers on.

After a long day at work, Amy is ready to slide into her slippers.

She calls herself a Pipeliner with Eyeliner even asking her friend to buy her a cup for Christmas so that she could carry her coffee in it.

Amy is proud of her profession as a Pipeline Inspector.

I love my job and I always laugh because there I am with my eyeliner and my mascara on out there in the dirt over the windchill. Don’t get me wrong I like outdoorsy girl too . I’m not just blingy, bling. I like the outdoors, but when you see trees all day and t all day, and you come home and you’re like this, Ahhhh. There’s you’re Ah-ha moment.

Moments with her granddaughter, Serenity Faith, is what Amy cherishes most.

Look how beautiful, a bedroom fit for her little princess!

When she’s not spending time with Serenity, all of her attention goes to the other lady in her life.

I worked hard on her. You’ve got to show her some love and some appreciation. She doesn’t appreciate all that dirt so.

Amy is referring to Delilah, the name she gave to her house.

We have a love hate relationship. We love to hate each other sometimes because I’m madly in love and she has my heart, but there are days I could have literally said for sale!

She says she struggled with Delilah over the staircase the most.

The staircase was three days, just three days. That’s when me and Delilah really had our falling out because I really just thought I was just going to be done with it. It needed fixing. There were a lot of problems wrong with it. But it turned out beautiful. I loved my staircase. I love that I hung in there and Delilah hung in there with me and I didn’t go through the staircase so that’s a positive.

Amy says dollar stores and antique shops send a shiver down her spine.

Just like Amy, most women, love a little bling in their lives like the bling I am wearing around my neck, but Amy likes taking the vintage antiquing from yesterday year and turning it into the shabby chic bling of today.

I love taking the old and making it new. So, if I find something for fifty cents and you will look up there (referring to her mantle) and it looks like I paid $100 for it. If I bring something home and I look at it. The history of this piece. It as someone’s memory. It was in someone’s home. Someone has had it at some point. And you sit and you think and wonder what they’re story is. And I bring it home and change it and now it’s my story.

This pipeliner with eyeliner says you’ve got this when it comes to your masterpieces and guys she’s talking to you too.

She says that when both men and women can take the can’t out of their vocabulary then anything is possible.

You may not be able to as fast or as quickly or as great as somebody else, but you can do it. You can do anything you can set your mind to . I made her Delilah. She wasn’t Delilah when I got here. And that’s any home. You walk into it and you look at it. You make it your home.
