WELLSBURG, W.Va. — On Tuesday, First Judicial Circuit Court Judge Ronald Wilson declined to accept a plea agreement entered for a Follansbee man who was charged with three counts of attempted death of a child, according to news partner Herald-Star.

Sean Johnson, 34, was indicted in March of this year after a domestic call in which Herald-Star reports Johnson had allegedly thrown away his prescription medication for schizophrenia, and went into what a woman known to him called a “psychotic state induced by drugs.”

According to the news outlet, the woman told police told police she believed Johnson was going to strangle her child until she intervened. She also alleges he threw a butcher knife into a door near her.

It is reported that Johnson also wrote a note in which he described killing children at home as though he had already done it.

Johnson allegedly told police he had heard voices telling him to do so.

It is reported that the judge wouldn’t accept a plea agreement for Johnson until he has undergone a psychological evaluation.
