IC Care’s Sunset Senior Fair returns to Heritage Port

Wheeling, W.Va. (WTRF) – Heritage Port was the place to be this evening, not only for fun, but to learn some critical healthcare information.

IC Care’s annual Sunset Senior Fair is back for another year.

It’s a great way for seniors and their caregivers to have some good times, and make good connections with healthcare professionals and local service providers.

Officials with IC Care say events like the Sunset Senior Fair serve not only as a great night out, but are an important resource here in the Ohio Valley.

“We find that these free health fairs are critically important for our community because oftentimes people don’t have access to healthcare, or they don’t seek out healthcare, and we’ve got folks here that are doing some health screenings tonight, and we’ve seen in the past that those health screenings can prove to be life-saving. Even something as simple as checking someone’s blood pressure could tell if they have hypertension or hypotension.”
