Laborers Local 204 pour concrete foundation for Veterans Village Project

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Friday morning a local laborers union poured concrete foundations for the Veterans Village Project in Terre Haute.

Laborers Local 204 were on the site to help the progress being made on the Veterans Village. The Village is an ongoing effort by the Terre Haute Area Association of Realtors to help house homeless veterans.

The union workers said that they felt compelled to help the cause.

“We just want people to think highly of the laborers union here in town and that we are definitely willing to give back to the community,” said member Trent Short.

The goal is to have these houses complete by Veterans Day.
