    Dump truck crash reduces US 41 to one lane in Sullivan County

    SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update : A blown tire led to a driver losing control and crashing a Sullivan County Highway Department truck on Monday.

    According to Sullivan County Sheriff Jason Bobbitt, the crash caused the southbound traffic of U.S. 41 to be reduced to a single lane near the intersection with Washington Street for several hours.

    Bobbitt said the truck had been hauling rocks when it blew a tire and lost control. Bobbitt said the driver was uninjured in the crash.

    The roadway has since reopened.


    Original : Traffic along U.S. 41 southbound is reduced to a single lane as crews work to clean up a dump truck crash.

    According to Sullivan County Sheriff Jason Bobbitt , the crash occurred along U.S. 41 near the intersection with West Washington Street.

    Sullivan Dispatch confirmed just the dump truck was involved.

    No word yet on what caused the crash or if anyone was injured.
