    Deer versus motorcycle wreck sends one person to hospital

    CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A deer versus motorcycle accident in Clay County Sunday sent one person to the hospital.

    Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames confirmed the accident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on County Road (CR) 900 North in Clay County.

    Victims recovering after motorsports park wreck

    A 2006 Harley Davidson, driven by 63-year-old Sharon Estes of Fontanet was traveling westbound on CR 900 N. when a deer darted into her lane. Ames said Estes attempted an evasive driving maneuver but was unable to avoid the collision, hitting the dear.

    Estes was transported by air ambulance to an Indianapolis hospital for medical care. Her injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
