One man injured in Clay County Crash

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating a one-vehicle accident from Sunday.

Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on US Highway 40 just east of County Road 425 West at about 3:45 p.m.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver was traveling west on US Highway 40 when for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the north side of the highway and rolled before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The was removed from the vehicle by members of the Posey Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Union Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash.

This accident is still under investigation.
