    Two people charged and one at large after burglary and car chase in Raleigh County

    DANIELS, WV (WVNS) — Two people were arrested and one remains at large, after a burglary and pursuit in Raleigh County.

    According to a Facebook post made by the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary in progress at around 9:45 a.m. in the Daniels area of Raleigh County on July 31, 2024.

    Man faces felony charges after traffic stop in Fayette County

    While the deputies were responding to the reported burglary, they were told that a woman, identified as Alycia Cook, left the area in a brown van and that two men were still at the scene.

    A member of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office found and attempted to stop the van after locating it while responding to the burglary. The van did not stop, resulting in a car chase that led deputies through the Beaver and Fitzpatrick areas of Raleigh County.

    The chase ended at the 1000 block of Sullivan Road, and Alycia Cook was arrested by members of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies also arrested one of the two men, identified as Jesse Blake, at the scene of the burglary.

    Three people arrested after kidnapping and robbery in Summers County

    Cook and Blake were taken to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office for processing, before being taken to the Magistrate Court for arraignment.

    According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, one of the suspects remains at large at this time.

    Alycia Cook was charged with Fleeing while impaired, Fleeing with Reckless Indifference, 1st Offence DUI of Controlled Substance, 2nd Offence Driving Suspended Admin., No Insurance, Assault on Government Representative, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Escape from Custody, Fleeing on Foot, Fleeing Causing Property Damage, two counts of Leaving the scene of MVC with Property Damage, two counts of Breaking and Entering, Conspiracy, and Petit Larceny.

    Jesse Blake was charged with two counts of Breaking and Entering, Conspiracy, and Petit Larceny.

    The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office stated that people mentioned are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
