WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) – A local library held a back to school event Thursday, August 1, 2024.

The event was hosted by the White Sulphur Springs Public Library and it had tons of activities for the kids.

They were able to go inside the library to check out face painting and even got a free haircut.

Once finished, they had the chance to go outside to check out the numerous vendors while enjoying a free hot dog dinner.

Library Director Joann Hartzell said the event has been going strong even before the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said it is a great way for kids and parents to enjoy the last few days before school.

I see parents that care and who want to invest the time with their children and that’s really important.”
