Comfy and dry overnight; Sunday brings back mostly sunny skies

Saturday evening starts off rather comfy with most in the 70s. Mostly clear skies this evening will be perfect for those heading to the State Fair of West Virginia’s Fireworks show, starting at 10:30 PM! Clear skies remain for the rest of the overnight as overnight low drop into the upper to middle 50s!
Sunday maintains our chilly morning though if you’re driving to either morning church or to enjoy the State Fair early, expect plenty of sunshine as temps get into the upper 60s by lunchtime. Middle to upper 70s during the afternoon will make a great excuse for anyone wanting to enjoy some time outside, especially with more sunshine around.
Monday again looks great as enjoy one more day of high pressure around. It will start off with temps in the 50s once again, slowly climbing into the middle to upper 70s by dinnertime. High pressure will slowly loose control overnight as clouds begin to build in, allowing temps overnight to drop into the 50s.
Tuesday sees a shortwave pass through, first during the morning hours. Given how weak this shortwave is and also with plenty of dry air in place, there will be very few opportunities for showers. Isolated to scattered at best at this point as temps climb back into the 80s.
Wednesday is trending mostly dry outside a stray shower chance. Best chances will be closer to Virginia with most to all of West Virginia missing their chances for more rain. The rest of the day will see a mix of clouds and sunshine, and given a fairly dry second half, temps will try to climb into the low to middle 80s.
Thursday brings in another shortwave from the west, providing the chance for some showers. Isolated to scattered showers with afternoon thunderstorms do look possible, but anything will be quite spread out, again missing the chance for some widespread rain. More breaks will again allow temps to get into the low to middle 80s.
Friday will see a low-pressure system develop over the Great Lakes. As this system moves towards the east, it will provide us with the chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few could carry over into the evening/overnight so something to be mindful of if you wish to go see the Oliver Anthony concert at 8:00 PM.
Saturday continues with the chance for isolated to scattered showers in the morning as our low-pressure system crosses. We should start to clear up during the afternoon as the system departs, leaving us with partly cloudy skies at times. Clouds and showers will likely keep temps in the low 80s.
In your extended forecast, isolated to scattered showers will be possible as we end the following weekend that Sunday. Chance for some more lingering showers do look possible Monday and Tuesday, though so more tweaking will be needed. Temps are looking to get back into the middle 80s by the following week.
