UNION, WV (WVNS) – As summer is winding down and Labor Day is passed, it is almost time for the harvest.

A celebration is being held in Union later this September called the 2024 Autumn Harvest Festival.

This festival will take place on September 28, 2024 at the Willow Bend Agricultural Innovation Center.

The agriculture extension agent for the WVU Monroe County Extension Office, Brian Wickline told 59News about this festival tradition that has lasted more than 35 years.

“We are a really agriculture-oriented community here in Monroe County and it is just kind of a celebration at the end of the year [leading] into the harvest season,” said Wickline.

Some of the things taking place at this festival include an antique tractor show, a canning show, and flower show.

Admission is free for all who wish to attend. There will be live music at this festival.

If you have any questions, call the Extension Office in Monroe County at (304)772-3003.
