    Fayette County Humane Society addresses a shelter issue as well as Code Red status

    FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — The Fayette County Humane Society is in Code Red status, and informed the public about an issue that the shelter is facing.

    According to a post on the Fayette County Humane Society’s Facebook page, the shelter is in Code Red and there is no available space to take in more animals.

    The Fayette County Humane Society also stated that there is an issue that the shelter is facing, and that there are a few things that the shelter will not tolerate including:

    • Abusive behavior or language to Fayette County Humane Society staff members.
    • Leaving animals at the Fayette County Humane Society without an arrangement in place.
    • Dropping animals off on the Fayette County Humane Society’s property.

    In the Facebook post, the Fayette County Humane Society stated that not only will abandoning animals not be tolerated, but that it is also against the law.
