Entries for Motion Picture and Television categories can be submitted online at goldenglobes.dmds.com through Nov. 4. Nominations will be announced on Dec. 9, followed by the live ceremony on Jan. 5.
The Emmy-winning duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment will return as executive producing showrunners for the 82nd Golden Globes. Weiss and Kirshner’s other major television credits include the Tonys, the Kennedy Center Honors and the Super Bowl Halftime Show .
Described as “Hollywood’s party of the year,” the ceremony celebrates achievements across multiple genres of film and television. The voting body for the Golden Globes is comprised of entertainment journalists from around the world.

Last year’s show garnered an audience of 10 million viewers, its largest since 2020. The telecast was also the third-largest livestreamed CBS special event on Paramount+. “Oppenheimer” received five awards including Best Motion Picture — Drama, while “The Bear” scored Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy, as well as awards for actors Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.
In 2024, WWD debuted its first digital live red carpet pre-show, “Eye on the Golden Globes,” hosted by editors Alex Badia and Booth Moore and television personality Jeannie Mai. WWD also launched the Style Awards, which celebrated the evening’s best dressed guests. Lily Gladstone, wearing custom Valentino, was named Best Newcomer, while Colman Domingo’s Louis Vuitton by Pharrell Williams suit scored him the title of Best Menswear.
Fashion brands worn at the ceremony generated a total media impact value of $29 million, according to the data company Launchmetrics. The evening’s most successful labels were Prada, achieving $5.5 million, Dior with $3.1 million and Schiaparelli at $2.9 million. The MIV metric assigns a true monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media in order to calculate ROI.
