Two new affordable homes coming to Northampton and Greenfield, applications open

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Applications are available for those qualified for a new affordable home in Northampton and Greenfield.

The Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity projects includes two homes which are both all-electric and built to ENERGY STAR standards. A two-story home is being built on Woodland Drive in Northampton. It will have three bedrooms with a maximum sales price of $190,000.

Those interested can learn more about the qualifying criteria during the following information sessions:

Northampton:

• March 9 at 10 a.m. at the Forbes Library in Northampton
• March 27 at 6:30 p.m. online via Zoom

In Greenfield, a one-bedroom home is being built for someone with mobility impairments. It will have a maximum sales price of $170,000 and is located on Petty Plain Road. The following information sessions are being held:

• February 29 at 6:30 p.m. online via Zoom
• March 23 at 10 a.m. at the Greenfield Public Library
