Route 2 ramp in Greenfield closed for 3 days next week

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)– The ramp from Route 2 westbound to I-91 southbound will be closed during the day for three days next week.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) work crews will be installing a traffic pattern and conduct line striping beginning Monday, August 12, through Wednesday, August 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Drivers should be prepared for a detour and traffic delays and may want to seek alternate routes. The detour will be as follows:

• All Route 2 westbound traffic will be directed to the I-91 northbound ramp.
• Traffic intending to travel southbound on I-91 will be detoured to Interchange 50B in Bernardston and continue to 1-91 southbound.

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.  Signs, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be available to provide guidance to drivers.
