WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Morgan Horse Show is the third largest Morgan Horse event in the country. Saturday will be the final day of the four-day event, with championship classes taking place from 9:00am through 9:30pm.

Over 400 participants from all over New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic area took part in different classes, ranging from two-years-old to 70 years old all working towards one common goal.

“It takes months and months and years of training not only of now only your own body, but understanding of how it moves in unison with your horse and how together you create a picture that is appealing to the judges,” shared Cindy Mugnier with the Massachusetts Morgan Horse Show.

The Morgan Horse Show highlights a unique aspect of the sport, it being the only activity where both girls and boys can compete on the same playing field.

The Massachusetts Morgan Horse Show is free for spectators. For more information on Saturday’s full list of classes and schedules, visit here .
