Portion of Birnie Ave in West Springfield closed due to car crash

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A portion of Birnie Ave in West Springfield is closed after a car crashed into a telephone pole.

According to the West Springfield Police, no traffic is being allowed through Birnie Ave at the intersection of Prospect Ave. Crews are working to repair a telephone pole that broke due to a car accident. No injuries were reported.

The repairs may take several hours, at this time drivers are being asked to seek an alternate route.
