LEICESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – A $2.64 million winning Megabucks ticket was sold in the state from Saturday’s drawing.

$15 million Lynn lottery winner to support family with winnings

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, the winning $2.64 million ticket was sold at Hillcrest Country Club at 325 Pleasant Street in Leicester. The winning numbers were 5-6-8-9-24-32.

This is the fourth Megabucks jackpot won since the game was redesigned back on November 12th. It was redesigned to bring more value to players, with better odds of winning, a higher average jackpot, and double the winnings for all non-jackpot prize tiers.

Since reducing the numbers from 49 to 44, the odds of winning the jackpot and all other prize tiers improved significantly. The odds of winning the jackpot went from one in 13,983,826 to 1 in 7,059,052.

Winners of the Megabucks game have one year from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
