    Springfield woman sentenced for possessing more than 8,000 bags of fentanyl

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield woman was sentenced for being in possession of fentanyl that was intended to be distributed.

    Former Stoughton police officer arrested for allegedly killing pregnant woman

    According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts, in March 2022, 28-year-old Karyela Santiago was found in possession of a total of 8,090 bags containing 129 grams of fentanyl that was intended to be distributed.

    Santiago was found guilty of one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. On Tuesday, she was sentenced to time served (one day) and three years of supervised release.
