Mülla captures Estonian national title
TALLINN, Estonia—South Dakota junior Marleen Mülla captured the women's pole vault at the Estonian Championships over the weekend. Mülla was victorious with a clearance of 14-3 ¾ (4.35m), more than six inches better than the runner-up in the competition. Mülla is a five-time Estonian national champion.
Vermillion Wins Doubleheader over Black Sox 14U
The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 14U team hosted Vermillion on Sunday, June 30th, dropping both games. Vermillion broke a 3-3 tie with six straight runs to win the opening game. The Black Sox scored first with a run in the bottom of the second. Vermillion scored three times in the top of the third, but BAH tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Vermillion then scored four times in the top of the fourth, and then added a run in the fifth and one in the sixth.
