Nebraska’s 2024 border deployments cost $1.27 million
LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Examiner) - This year’s two border deployments ordered by Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen cost a combined $1.27 million. The state says it paid $1.2 million of that total using interest accrued from the second wave of $48 million in federal pandemic relief funds that Congress set aside for rental assistance.

Kramer Fireworks celebrates 10 year anniversary
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - With the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday, many are stocking up on fireworks to celebrate, and firework sales have increased across North Platte. Kramer Fireworks has been selling fireworks for ten years and has become one of the largest fireworks stores in the area. To celebrate, the store is doing a bingo card to not only shop at their store but also other fireworks stores across North Platte and to partake in social media challenges.
